Canada’s critically-acclaimed metallic, post-hardcore band KEN MODE are featured now at Forbes. The article features frontman/guitarist Jesse Matthewson and his brother/drummer Shane, which is a part of an on-going series about rock music in the business world. The brothers discuss how their accounting and business educations, in conjunction with their recent JUNO award (Canadian Grammy equivalent) have helped KEN MODE become a self-sustaining band.
KEN MODE has just been added to the bill of next year’s Roadburn festival in the Netherlands. The band has been slated to play on April 10th. Fellow label mates HARK will also make an appearance on the festival and will perform on April 12th. Ticket pre-sales for the festival are available at the official Roadburn website.
KEN MODE has won the Western Canadian Music Alliance Award for Metal/Hard Music Recording of the Year. The WCMA’s were part of the 2013 edition of the “BreakOut West” music festival in Calgary. The band accepted their WCMA while away on the final leg of their European tour. More information about the WCMAs can be found here.
Last Friday, KEN MODE taped an exclusive performance on the legendary BBC1 radio channel in the UK. The performance was part of the “Rock Show” with renowned music journalist/host Daniel P. Carter.
