“Svartir Sandar”, the new masterpiece of Iceland’s very own SÓLSTAFIR, will be released this Friday (next Tuesday in the US), but you can already listen to the whole album on Finland’s Inferno website. Go check it out now because the stream is only available this week!

Inferno also graced SÓLSTAFIR with the cover of their October issue.

Besides the 2CD digipak edition and two different vinyl LP versions, “Svartir Sandar” will also be available as a collector’s box set limited to 500 copies, including the following items:

  • “Svartir Sandar” on double CD in Digipak
  • T-shirt or Girly with front and back print
  • 4 frosted shot glasses printed with art taken from “Svartir Sandar”
  • Black ice cube tray with SÓLSTAFIR logo and customized ice cubes

This box set will be released on November 11th but can already be pre-ordered on Season of Mist’s e-shop.

Icelandic post metal band SÓLSTAFIR have won the award for ‘Best Rock Album of 2020’ at the Icelandic Music Awards with their latest album ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’. The Icelandic Music Awards (Íslensku Tónlistarverðlaunin) can be seen as the Icelandic version of the Grammys. Find more information here.

Icelandic post rock titans SÓLSTAFIR have been nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards 2021. SÓLSTAFIR’s ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’ is nominated in the category rock album of the year.
