Anorexia Nervosa
Industrial Death Metal - France
ANOREXIA NERVOSA was formed in 1991 under the name NECROMANCIA. NECROMANCIA released the first demo in 93, entitled "Garden of Delight", and regularly played live. With time the band developed itself to play a mixture of Dark Wave, Gothic, Industrial, EMB and Metal. Their current style led to changing the band name to Anorexia Nervosa, fitting their music better.
ANOREXIA NERVOSAs 95 demo "Nihil Negativum" received huge response in the underground and one and a half year later (August 1997) the band records its debut "Exile", structured after a three cycles text. Dealing with the corporal refusals and conscience withdraws, ornamented with visions and fantasies, which are the consequences of such a state and fading realities. ANOREXIA NERVOSAs way of composing has similarities with the concept of lyrical superstructure, developed by the Dadaist Tristan Tzara. According to this concept evolutions, in the process of creation, lead to the most perfect formal chaos.
This band is no longer active on Season of Mist.
