More information about Unquestionable Presence
ATHEIST are currently streaming previously unreleased live footage of the band’s classic line-up performing the track “The Formative Years” at the band’s official Youtube page. This video material is taken from the forthcoming deluxe CD+DVD reissues of the technical metal pioneers’ early works.
The clip was restored from a video shot in the US at the Waters Club, San Pedro, CA in 1991 and features legendary ATHEIST bassist Roger Patterson playing what would become his last ever show before his tragic death in an accident.
Season of Mist will re-release all three early ATHEIST albums, ‘Piece of Time’ (1989), ‘Unquestionable Presence’ (1991), and ‘Elements’ (1993). Due to technical reasons, this will begin out of sequence with the band’s highly acclaimed second full-length.
The deluxe version of the ‘Unquestionable Presence’ CD+DVD reissue will be released worldwide on July 24th and is already available for pre-order at the Season of Mist shop.
The CD portion of the reissue is now streaming at the official ATHEIST Bandcamp page. This includes nine bonus tracks including rare demos and studio outtakes in addition to the amazing full-length.
The DVD companion features over 80 minutes of never-before-seen fan and friend filmed footage from the bands personal archives. The material spans arguably the most turbulent and trying period of the bands storied career: the eight months leading up to, and following the recording of this monumental record.
Included in this footage is the last show of the classic ATHEIST line-up, which tragically turned out to be Roger Patterson final performance before his untimely passing, a clip of Tony Choy’s first rehearsal and show with the band, and other remarkable features.
