HEILUNG is set to traverse the sacred lands of Albion, Eiru, and Erop on their penultimate pilgrimage. In one of their final calls before an indefinite slumber, HEILUNG, joined by the ethereal Faroese enchantress Eivør will awaken the ancestral spirits across 15 unique dates across the UK, Ireland & Europe. HEILUNG‘s ceremonies are neither mere performances nor concerts; they are full immersions into the very essence of nature and spirit. These sacred rituals reach back in time amplifying history through neofolk music, dancing, and spirituality. HEILUNG are known around the world for transcending the boundaries of music. They don’t play shows but perform a ritual, fusing together earth, fire and incense with throat singing, primordial rhythms, subtle electronic textures, a mesmerizing light show and instruments made from human bone.

With the resounding chants of Christopher Juul, Maria Franz, and Kai Uwe Faust, HEILUNG does not merely perform; they invoke. Their rituals, veiled in the essences of forgotten landscapes, pull you into a realm where the primordial and the modern collide. Their sonic enchantments, crafted with ancestral breath and iron’s cold kiss, transcend the mere act of listening, pulling you into a communal trance born of earth and stars.

This year, under the gaze of the waxing moon, HEILUNG cast their spell upon the sacred gathering of Download Festival, with Glastonbury soon to follow at the end of June. With the earth beneath their feet bearing witness, they invoked their mighty rituals, transcending the confines of time, leading the amassed souls to a place where the ancient North breathes.

In the shadows of towering sandstones that whisper the ancient tales of the land, HEILUNG invoked the spirits of old at the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre twice over. Now, from that unforgettable night under the starlit Colorado sky, the Nordic collective brings forth Traust, a fragment from their forthcoming live album, LIFA Iotungard.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon.

The future has much in store for Heilung. The Nordic collective collaborated with Ninja Theory on the soundtrack to Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, which is set to come out this May.

Last night, people around the globe watched Heilung perform at The Game Awards.

HEILUNG don’t play shows. They perform a ritual. Every performance begins with Kai Uwe Faust leading Christopher Juul, Maria Franz and their ritual collective in an ancient prayer. Soon after, the audience is swept into rapture, swayed by incense and throat singing, primordial rhythms, subtle electronic textures, a mesmerizing light show, an army of warriors and bursts of fire; a ritual.

HEILUNG will be bringing their oracular ceremony to the AFAS Live venue. Having released their critically acclaimed third album ‘Drif’ in August of 2022, the collective will make their mystical appearance in Amsterdam for the first time ever on the 21st of September 2024.

HEILUNG are bringing their acclaimed live ritual to 10 U.S. cities this fall. Most they’ve never played before, including South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, New Orleans and Missouri – while others will be welcoming back the pounding, rhythmic, Nordic collective at larger venues.

Coming off a hugely successful North American tour, enigmatic ritual collective HEILUNG will be bringing their live ceremony to Europe, the UK, and Australia starting later this month!
