Defeated Sanity slammed the realm of underground metal on its deformed head last week with the announcement of their upcoming seventh album. The boundary-breaking death metal band still hit from every odd angle, but on Chronicles of Lunacy, these technical maniacs return to sheer brutality.
“If you’ve been missing all the slamming death metal that Defeated Sanity is known for, then you’re gonna love this”, Metal Injection wrote about the album’s lead single “The Odour of Sanctity”.
Today, the band’s are releasing a drum playthrough of their new single that showcases the dizzying might of their long-time mastermind. Whether he’s hammering his snare, blasting away at the double bass or riding a colossal groove, “The Odour of Sanctity” stinks to high heaven.
