HEILUNG are known around the world for transcending the boundaries of music. They don’t play shows but perform a ritual, fusing together earth, fire and incense with throat singing, primordial rhythms, subtle electronic textures, a mesmerizing light show and instruments made from human bone.
Today, Christopher Juul, Maria Franz, Kai Uwe Faust and their Nordic collective are sharing Heilung’s most sacred ritual yet. Lifa Iotungard was recorded at Red Rocks Amphitheater in October 2021 during Heilung’s first sold-out performance at the renowned venue. This special performance is now available today for the very first time on CD and vinyl through Season of Mist.
