More information about Janis
VESTIGE introduces “Deviens la Nuit”, the first single from their forthcoming debut album, Janis. This piece emerges as a beacon of their journey, a path traversed through the heart’s deepest reveries and the night’s profound silence. It is here, in this confluence of darkness and light, that VESTIGE invites us to stand at the edge of despair and gaze into the possibility of rebirth.
Crafted from the tempests of personal strife, Janis unfolds as a fragment of emotional catharsis. “Deviens la Nuit” epitomizes this voyage – a composition that bleeds raw emotion, bridging the chasm between the ethereal whispers of hope and the visceral cries of the human condition. Théodore Rondeau’s poignant narratives, Pierre-André Krauzer’s resonant bass, Quentin Regnault’s rhythmic alchemy, and Thomas Petit’s haunting guitar melodies, coalesce into a sound that is felt in the marrow.
“Deviens La Nuit catalyzes everything that Vestige represents in a single piece of music.” Says Rondeau. “Between deep melancholy and the violence of realization. It marks the beginning of the journey that is Janis.”
Drawing influences from the likes of Alcest to Deftones, yet bringing their own unique twist of the hallmark Atmospheric Post-Metal sound, VESTIGE‘s Janis promises a musical and emotional journey that seeks not to escape the abyss but to illuminate it. It is an elixir of despair and hope, sadness and solace, meticulously distilled into an 11-track album that leaves you wanting for more.
“The transformation and realization of the condition in which Theodore composed it. Cathartic, gentle, violent but enveloping, we hope that Deviens La Nuit will invite you to experience this introspective journey with us.
– Vestige”
