French female-fronted act KELLS’ forthcoming opus is entitled “Anachromie” and will hit the stores on January 20th.

A new star is rising on the female fronted Metal scene – if you are living outside of France. In their native country KELLS are already firmly established as a major act. Gathering around charismatic singer Virginie Goncalves in the year 2001 the group already scores high with their debut “Gaia” (2005). The band is invited to perform with international artists such as APOCALYPTICA and CRADLE OF FILTH and chosen to open for EPICA during their French tour in November 2008. Their next full-length “Lueurs” (2009) takes KELLS even further.
Their single-clip “La Sphère” featuring Candice of ETHS hits all French music channels. In 2010 the band reaches out to Europe supporting EPICA and twice TARJA TURUNEN as well as headlining for a total of 45 shows in 15 different countries. Having signed to Season of Mist, KELLS now aim for the next rung on the ladder of success. Their third album “Anachromie” fine tunes the trademark sound of the French. Over a rock solid base of modern Metal with sharp riffs and groove laden rhythms the multifaceted vocals of Virginie never fail to capture immediate attention. With a stunning range from the sweet and soft to harsh and aggressive growls, this great front lady may be roughly described as the perfect cross between Amy Lee (EVANESCENCE), Cristina Scabbia (LACUNA COIL) and Angela Gossow (ARCH ENEMY). To ensure the best possible sound, KELLS enlisted Ted Jensen (Metallica, Alice In Chains) to master “Anachromie”. Play it loud!

As announced recently, French female-fronted act KELLS named their forthcoming album “Anachromie”. This sonic blast of modern Metal has been scheduled for a January 20th, 2012 release and the first pressing will include a bonus DVD with nearly one hour of documentaries, video clips, rehearsals and “how to play” videos.
